From simple improvements on your energy efficiency or reductions in your carbon footprint to design and build out of a full scale renewable energy facility, Riverside Resources can support your site or project needs. As part of our commitment to energy efficiency improvements and their corresponding environmental impact reductions, Riverside Resources is a member of U.S Green Building Council (USGBC) and our president, Greg Purdy is certified as a LEED Accredited Professional (AP). LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized certification system that measures how well a building or community performs across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts. Developed by the USGBC, LEED provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.

In addition to our core project management services, our LEED accreditation enables Riverside to provide an expanded level of service for clients desiring an increased focus on LEED design and operation initiatives. Considerations can be made for minor projects associated with energy and environmental improvement programs, or evaluations can lead to full scale LEED building certifications including the evaluation and delivery of onsite renewable energy systems with flexible capital arrangements. As active members of the US Green Building Council, we keep up to date on new developments, projects and technologies associated with improved cost, efficiency and environmental performance. By having Riverside as a key member of your project team,at least one qualification point is earned towards your project’s LEED certification by having a LEED AP on board.
Through our experiences at numerous pharmaceutical and other high-tech facilities, we believe that plant efficiency, construction methods, operating procedures and environmental performance can all be part of a successful plan to optimize the profitability and safety of a facility if the correct balance is understood and implemented . Our core expertise remains in the management of capital projects and resources, and with this added experience, we believe we can offer a clearer decision path for the selection of appropriate design and construction standards to benefit your bottom line, employee health, and environmental integrity.
We are the right choice to help you develop Renewable Energy production facilities and their associated companion businesses. Riverside Resources has an understanding of the current area grant availabilities, economic development group operations, municipality capabilities, land characteristics, railroad capabilities, utility services and other site specific attributes required for the finance and operation of both a typical ethanol facility (corn or cellulosic) and it's possible associated companion businesses including cogeneration/power facilities as well as a variety of solar power generation system.
Riverside Resources has established relationships with regional engineering and construction firms needed to perform competitive detailed site evaluations and environmental permitting actions in North Carolina based on the specific requirements associated with renewable energy and cogeneration facilities. We have relationships with regional site engineering firms for specific soils and seismic analysis that are paramount in site selection for the larger facility equipment that can be associated with storage and material handling of renewable resources. Riverside Resources also has established relationships with regional industrial construction contractors covering all disciplines who are familiar with ethanol facility and solar site construction and design considerations which are critical to timely build out and start up.
Riverside Resources has established working relationships with proven contractors and operators associated with the operation and/or construction of ethanol facilities and their companion businesses as well as solar power generation sites. These include carbon dioxide recovery/dry ice manufacturing, grain receiving, distillers dried grains shipment, aquaculture operations, greenhouse operations, flash freeze operations for food products, algae production (and other carbon sequestration operations), cogeneration facility construction and operation, timber and wood waste supply, water regeneration, railroad construction and operations, grain storage and treatment facilities, and solar power generation systems.
